The Pole Lock™ is constructed from a rugged polymer plastic which is unaffected by salt water and will not mar expensive composite rods. An important feature is the instant rotation or removal of the holder from its mounting base. A two-way "snap slide", operated simply with the pressure on one finger, allows the holder to be rotated to any of 8 positions - or removed completely to install a boat cover - all without tools.
